“…then whatever I was doing in the studio must be art.” - Bruce Nauman
Nauman brings up a good point about the very artistic process of creation and the art within the planning stages of any project. I agree with the fact that everything and anything that we do can be interpreted as art in some way, and this quote is no exception. Trying to interpret my creative process in and of itself and turning it into its own art piece resulted in the attached image. When I am in my zone and conceptualizing my own ideas, I enter this otherworldly area and become entranced alone in my own world. I tried to capture this by layering as many floating “ideas“ around a subject in the center of the frame clouding the image. While it is still in its beginning stages, I am excited develop this piece further, and add onto it as I attempt to capture what I am feeling as I make it.
