Having been sick for about a good week and in isolation, I have gained a lot of insight on both myself and my need to create when under a stressful environment. During the later months of the year, there are these 30 day long challenges that deal with having to draw off of a prompt every day of that month, almost forcing artists into creating. While this may sound restricting, it is often quite the opposite for artists, being granted this structure to expand off of one idea and turn it into their own. Being in isolation, very sick and tired of my illness, this was the perfect thing for me to get right back on track with my artistry and to begin jumpstarting my love for these challenges once more. It was amazing to pull myself away from my bed and slave away to produce this one drawing, something that I would not do ordinarily.
