This assignment will be visual research for your NFT simulation project. Find an NFT that you think used 3d simulation in some way, and that you like. Write a blog post - what do you like about it? How do you think it was made? Research if necessary!
For this assignment I found a live NFT showcase on niftygateway.com titled "Modern Prisoner Chapter lV". Within this collection we can see a variety of short animations on display, all having some form of movement and involving pieces interacting with one another in a single environment. Pertaining solely for this blog post I found that the NFT titled Prison #8 was one that stood out as having something akin to a simulation within itself. The scene depicted here showcases a variety of pills and drugs being displayed in a way that hints at the struggle with drug addiction that many people struggle with in our modern day. What I like about the image is that it depicts this grim topic in a colorful and bubbly way, having bright visuals and simple smooth shapes within the NFT. The best part however and the part that pertains to this coming project however is the simulation of the falling pill cases that land on the bucket fill of pills that our female subject is bathing in. Watching them fall along side the foreground of the brain being injected is nothing short of hypnotic and an overall effective addition to this overall wonderland like feeling that viewers find themselves in while taking in this animation. If I had to guess this simulation was made all using blender and took advantage of the physics and gravity simulation that blender provides, placing all the pills above the camera view at frame 1, and having them all fall slowly at once once the animation begins moving on.
